Erica M. Johanson

Erica M. Johanson was born in Manhassett, New York in 1976. She graduated with honors from Swarthmore College in 1998 (B.A. in Philosophy, minor in Comparative Literature) and from Boston College Law School, cum laude, in 2005. While in law school, she served as Writer (2003-04) and Senior Editor (2004-05) for the Uniform Commercial Code Digest and manager of the Craven Constitutional Law Moot Court team (2005). From 2005-2006, she served as Law Clerk in the Superior Court of the State of Maine. She is admitted to practice in Maine and Massachusetts. Her practice focuses in the areas of municipal and land use law, commercial law, and general civil litigation. She lives in Portland, Maine with her husband, Andrew and son Adam.
On May 6, 2008, the Law Court upheld the Superior Court’s September 13, 2007 decision in Bean v. State Farm.
ML attorney Ken Pierce obtained a defense verdict on December 13, 2007 in a suit arising out of a June, 2005 automobile accident in Waterboro, Maine.
