Kenneth D. Pierce

Kenneth D. Pierce was born in Stamford, Connecticut. He is a 1979 graduate, magna cum laude, of the School of Liberal Arts at Boston College. Mr. Pierce enjoyed a successful sales career in the medical device industry before obtaining his law degree in 1990 from Northeastern University School of Law. In law school he clerked for Massachusetts Trial Court Justice Hon. Joseph Grasso and in the litigation departments of Bingham, Dana & Gould, Boston, and Bernstein, Shur, Sawyer & Nelson, Portland, Maine. He is admitted to practice in Maine, Massachusetts and the U.S. District Court for the District of Maine.

Mr. Pierce has extensive civil jury trial experience in federal and state court in matters involving personal injury, motor vehicles, employment, real estate, insurance coverage and products liability issues. He is a member of the Maine State Bar Association, Cumberland Bar Association and the Maine Trial Lawyers Association. His practice also includes mediation, early neutral evaluation and arbitration.

Mr. Pierce is President of the Boston College Alumni Association National Board of Directors. He is active in youth sports, a member of the Board of Directors of the Cape Elizabeth Little League and coach in the Cape Elizabeth Community Service Program.

On May 6, 2008, the Law Court upheld the Superior Court’s September 13, 2007 decision in Bean v. State Farm.
ML attorney Ken Pierce obtained a defense verdict on December 13, 2007 in a suit arising out of a June, 2005 automobile accident in Waterboro, Maine.
