RECENT VICTORIES 2009

In November of 2009, Ken Pierce argued to a Cumberland County jury that his client, a property owner, was not responsible when a visitor fell down the cellar stairs of his home.  The jury agreed and granted judgment in favor of Ken's client.  The jurors unanimously found that an inward-swinging cellar door was not defective and did not expose the visitor to an unreasonable risk of harm.  In effect, the jury determined that the visitor, who claimed significant injuries from the fall, was not entitled to any recovery.
